Short-term Mission’s Trips
WOBC would like to have one short term mission’s trip per year. Some trips in the past were to the Navajos in Arizona, a Christian camp in Quebec, a school for the deaf in Jamaica, and Hurricane Katrina relief in New Orleans. If you are interested in being a part of an upcoming trip, please contact the church.
In May, 2011 we will be taking a missions trip to help with hurricane relief in Hati. There is a job for everyone! If you are interested in getting more information about the dates and costs, please contact the church.
March for Missions
During the month of March, WOBC plans special events to educate about global disciple-making. In 2011 we will primarily be focusing on foreign (overseas) missions, although we will also be learning about how God is working in the United States.
- Jim Thurber, with SEED International, will share with us during the Sunday morning service on March 13, 2011.
- We will have our Missions’ Banquet on March 27, 2011 at noon.
- Friday, March 18, we will meet at the Laurens Central School and cheer on our Awana children as they race their sailboats.
