Men’s Fraternity: Every Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m., men are invited to meet together to study the curriculum of Men’s Fraternity.
Sunday School: There is a men’s class, taught by Bill Miller, that meets at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday morning. Men are also invited to the Co-ed class, led by Jerry Wenck.
Special Events: Periodically there are special events for men (i.e. paintball, Promise Keeper’s, Iron Sharpens Iron)
New Commandment Men’s Ministry: The third Saturday of every month men of the church meet at the McDonalds on Chestnut Street at 7:00 a.m. After a short devotional, they leave in their assigned groups for the home of a single mom, widow, or other person who has a need. The group might paint or do fix-it jobs. This is a great way to live the love of God! If you are interested in being involved, please contact the church.
Breakfasts: Groups of men meet weekly for breakfast for accountability, spiritual growth, and fellowship. Periodically, a Sunday men’s breakfast in planned at a local restaurant.
Women’s Ministries
Sunday School: There is a women’s class, taught by Edith Dougherty, that meets every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Women are also invited to the Co-ed class, led by Jerry Wenck.
Bible Studies: Every Wednesday evening the women meet together at 6:15 p.m. They are studying Elizabeth George’s book, Loving God with all Your Mind. Other studies do meet throughout the week. Contact the church for those times.
Women’s Retreat: Every year the women travel to Word of Life at Schroon Lake for a relaxing, spiritually-challenging weekend.
Mother-Daughter-Friend Banquet: In May women are invited to hear a special speaker and then enjoy a meal that the men of the church serve.
Seasons of the Heart: Every season women from our area communities are invited to a relaxing Saturday morning filled with refreshments, fellowship, and a seasonal craft. This is a wonderful time to invite your friends to a non-threatening event.
Apples of Gold: Apples of Gold is a national ministry in which WOBC participates. Based on Titus 2:3-5, this ministry brings older women and younger women together to learn biblical truths and practical tips on being a wife, mother and woman.
