Over 200 Years Worshipping God!

2007 marked the 200th Anniversary of West Oneonta Baptist Church! God has used this church family to touch many lives, including many of you. Although many changes have occurred in 200 years (the new brick building put up, the stable taken down, a Sunday School wing added, Spanish service started...), and the church body has embraced many different pastors, we are thrilled that God's son, Jesus, remains our focus. We continue to celebrate the past, enjoy those involved in the present, and anticipate the future!

Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School, Crocodile Dock, will be from June 29 - July 3. All children, ages 4 years old through 6th grade are welcome! You may pre-register by following this link: http://www.groupvbs.com/webtoybox/myvbs/wobc If you would like to volunteer to help, also contact the church. This is always an exciting, fun, educational week for everyone!

Agape Dinner
The next Agape Dinner is on Sunday, June 14 at noon. Please bring a bread or salad to share. After dinner, we will be working on a few VBS projects such as getting the name tags ready and preparing some of the crafts. We could use your help!

Women's Summer Bible Study
There will be a women's Bible Study which will meet on Wednesday nights starting in July. Contact the church or Joanne Woodward for details.

Seasons of the Heart
Seasons of the Heart is an opportunity for you to invite your women friends to a fun, non-threatening morning. Held from 9-11 a.m. at the Calvary Hills Retreat Center in Oneonta. RSVP to the church.

Opportunities to Pray
There are two opportunities during the week for you to meet with others to pray. Wednesday evenings, at 7:00 p.m. is a time for everyone to meet together. Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. is a Men's prayer group. Join us!

Spanish Service
In order to reach the Greater Oneonta Area Hispanic residents, the Spanish Service is meeting at 40 Walnut Street in Oneonta instead of at our church building. Contact the church for more information.

Praise and Prayer

Pray that God would glorify himself in your life and through this church community.

Pray that God will continue to supply the financial and spiritual needs of the church. Praise God for his provision!

Pray that God would continue to raise up this next generation to serve him, and that he would give courage and wisdom to the children and teens.

Pray that God would use VBS in the lives of the children of the church, children of the community, and all volunteers.

Pray for wisdom for the Spanish Service leaders. Pray also that God would use this ministry for his glory.

Pray that God will continue to use this church for his global glory.
