Over 200 Years Worshipping God!

2007 marked the 200th Anniversary of West Oneonta Baptist Church! God has used this church family to touch many livesï¿&;including many of you! Although many changes have occurred in 200 years (the new brick building put up, the stable taken down, a Sunday School wing added, Spanish service started...) and the church body has embraced many different pastors, we are thrilled that Gods son, Jesus, remains our focus. We continue to celebrate the past, enjoy those involved in the present, and anticipate the future!

Agape Dinners
The next Agape dinner will be April 27, 2008 at noon. This is a wonderful time for us to fellowship together while enjoying a meal. Please bring a salad or bread. Soup will be provided. We always look forward to these monthly dinners, and we invite you to join us!

Men's Fraternity
Men's Fraternity now has TWO options! Tuesday Nights continues the "Discovering Authentic Manhood" at 6:30 pm. Our church will join other area churches in this study, so it will meet at Main Street Baptist Church. Then on Wednesday Evenings the men will meet at the church at 6:15 p.m.

The Ripple
Once a month we have a Friday night discussion pertaining to one of the Spiritual Disciplines. This is a great time to join others as we seek to learn more about living the Christian life. Join us on Friday, May 9, 2008, at 6:30 p.m.

VBS Volunteers
If you are interested in volunteering with VBS (August 18 - 22, 2008), please call Pastor Tim or the church office. This year's theme will be "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything," A VeggieTales VBS. This should be a GREAT week!

ALASKA Mission's Trip!
This summer, from July 20 - 27, Pastor Tim will lead a group from WOBC to the Kokrine Hills Bilble Camp in Alaska to help them with work projects around their camp. This camp, reaching out to Native Americans, is in a remote area of Alaska. Please contact the church by April 20, 2008, if you are interested in joining the team!

Praise and Prayer

Pray that God would glorify himself in your life and through this church community.

Pray that God will continue to supply the financial and spiritual needs of the church. Praise God for his provision!

Pray for the praise team. Pray that God would conintue to use that ministry.

Pray that the Agape dinner next week would be a great time of fellowshipping together and encouraging each other.

Pray for wisdom for the Spanish Service leaders. Pray also that God would use this ministry for his glory.

Pray that God will continue to use this church for his global glory.
